9th International Workshop on Sand/Dust storms and Associated Dustfall

As many of you are probably aware, the 9th International Workshop on Sand / Dust storms and Associated Dustfall was held in La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain) last week.

Opening of the 9th International Workshop on Sand / Dust storms and Associated Dustfall, held in La Laguna (Tenerife, Spain) , May 22-24 2018.

The workshop provided an opportunity to share and discuss ideas on many topics related to aerosols (see this page for the whole list), and of course we at the AEROATLAN project didn’t miss the event! Our contributions to the workshop included:

  • High variability of dust composition in the Saharan Air Layer, by S. Rodríguez et al.,
  • Assessing the response of a TEOM dichotomous FDMS and BETA monitors to aerosol dust in the Saharan Air Layer, by E. Sosa et al., and
  • Northern African sources of mineral dust from measurements at the Izaña GAW Observatory, by J. López-Solano et al.

Further details on these works can be found in the book of abstracts, just look for the keyword “AEROATLAN”

Although there was a lot to learn and discuss in just three days, we had a great time and meet many new friends, so this was indeed a really successful workshop!
